I am a busy professional, but I thought I would take a moment to say how pleased I am with the overall service I have acquired through Mikado. I am a lawyer with a busy practise and whether meeting with clients or in court, it is imperative that I look my best.  Although I don’t have an aversion to shopping, my “Achilles heel” concern that has plagued me throughout most of my adult life, is disproportionate body shape. I am on the shorter side and have a smaller hip measurement, but my chest is buxom and robust. I am left not only feeling self-conscious because buttons on my blouses are often pulling-apart; but the real quandary that has happened in the past is when l have shopped for business suits. If I got a jacket or top that would fit across my chest, then the bottom would be much too big. Not only was I left feeling perplexed because of clothing size, I also felt quite inept when it came to determining what styles would be suit me. I have employed the services of Mikado more than once. Through extremely personalized consultations, expert advice on what suits my body shape, VIP tailoring in respect to made-to-measure alterations, and lack-of-guilt attitude in terms of returning some items and trying alternate ones, I have always felt completely satisfied at the end of the process. I was slightly remiss for not writing a review previously because I was so focused on my improved aura. Now, my new-found confidence with the presentation of my body image reminds me that it is only fitting to exclaim, “I tip my professional cap to you, Mikado. Keep doing what you’re doing!”

I recently used Mikado for some personal shopping. I’ve been wanting to update my wardrobe while having more time at home during Covid, but didn’t know where to begin. To be honest, I wasn’t sure that working with a stylist would be safe right now but found that they were offering their services virtually, which was exactly what I needed. We did a long consultation where we talked about what I wanted for my style over Zoom. They asked a lot more questions than I expected, and really got me to think about my professional image. I still wasn’t sure what to expect but after about 2 weeks they delivered LOTS of clothes to my apartment for me to try. Everything was left with the front desk in my building in garment bags on rolling racks so it was really easy to get into my home. I couldn’t believe how many options there were for me to try….at least 30 pairs of jeans alone…it felt like a store in my apartment! I worked with them again over Zoom to get feedback when I was trying everything on and I decided what I wanted to keep. They came back to collect the clothes I didn’t want and it was the easiest and most successful shopping I’ve ever done. Not only did I feel completely safe with the process, but I have really awesome clothes now that I would never have known how to choose myself. I can’t wait to start wearing everything.

This is the first time I’ve used a stylist so I wasn’t sure how it worked. Since I haven’t been able to go to the mall during Covid, I’ve been ordering a lot of things online, but most of the time it doesn’t work out and I have to send it back. It’s been really frustrating, not only because I can’t find what I need but also
because I don’t have the time to be searching for clothes and then returning them when it doesn’t work out. I decided to give Mikado a try because they seemed like the best fit for what I needed. My service was great and was exactly what I was looking for. They delivered so a variety of clothing for me to try on that it felt like I had a little store in my home! I am really into fashion, just not so much into shopping, and they completely understood what I was looking for and brought me clothes that matched my style. I was surprised to find that even things that I wouldn’t have thought to try, ended up being amazing. The service was beyond easy to use, and when I was done they just came and picked up everything I didn’t want to keep. Even once Covid is over, I will continue to shop like this, it’s so much more relaxing than being in the mall, and they completely understand what I am looking for with my style!

This is one of the best investments I’ve made in myself in such a long time. I decided I needed to hire a stylist after years of not feeling good in my clothes. I hate shopping and feel so overwhelmed at the mall and was just putting it off. I finally decided I needed extra help but didn’t know where to start. After just finishing my service, I can firmly say that I am so thrilled I found these ladies at Mikado. I can’t say enough about the results they provide, how great they are at listening to what I wanted but also understanding some new ideas I could try. I don’t remember feeling this confident since my 20s and am obsessed with all my new clothes. I wasn’t sure what to expect and they blew my mind. My first fitting had 3 racks of clothes, so many choices of shoes, and I fell in love with everything. They just understood what I wanted and showed me things I could add to my closet that work with what I already had. The stuff that didn’t fit, they exchanged for me and took care of it all. Shopping from my bedroom was the best part and I don’t think i’ll ever be able to shop in a mall again. On top of the amazing results, I’ve never met such a group of kind, fun and hard working young ladies.
